October 10 Finally a Halo 3 Entry........First off I don't know why I bothered pre ordering the Halo 3 LE considering that there were copies available on 25 Sep. Thx to my good friend who will rename nameless I had to have my copy on launch day.....mainly because he intentionally egged me on talking about how he would be playing at launch (he still hasn't bought a copy). Not to be outdone I had gotten inside word that we would be getting a huge display at our local retailer on the 25th.....well 25 Sep comes around, and I'm like a little kid waiting for them to open. Like any 12yr old trapped in an adults body I tried to keep it cool as I made my way through the store, and what do I find.........3 copies of the legendary edition! Thats it nothing more......so immediately that little 12 yr old voice starting whispering to me, and 2 minutes later I was walking out the door with my huge black Halo 3 LE grinning from ear to ear.
Now here is the funny part......guess what showed up the next day at that same retailer? You guessed it........a huge cardboard display w/ about 50 million copies of the REGULAR edition. It gets even better cause about 4 days later my collectors edition shows up, and I don't know if you've heard, but there has been numerous forum posts and some news articles on how alot of peoples (limited edition only) are showing up with trashed discs. Basically there not seated in the case correctly so they just flop around in that metal case. Funny thing is I re-seated mine, and the first thing I discovered was that there was no flaw with the case design. Once both discs were seated properly, and I even took the case and shook it violently several times, and neither disc budged! Anyway for those who have been unlucky to have received the Halo 3 LE in the same condition as mine you can navigate to Microsoft Disc Replacement Program, and they will replace your discs for free. Enjoy! September 21 Heavenly Sword!I just got my copy of Heavenly Sword the other day, and even though I haven't had time to play it I am still in awe at how amazing it looks. if this is just a sign of whats to come from the PS3 then I am very excited! Anyway here are some pics of the actual game case art, and the interior...oh and I threw in one screenshot.....hopefully I won't get sued! September 19 Yes I'm jumpin on the Halo 3 bandwagon......You know the closer it gets to the Halo 3 release the more excited I'm getting. I'm not that big of a Halo fan, but with all the hype going on around the world I just couldn't help, but get involved. I mean come on we've got Halo 3 Mountain Dew, Halo 3 Nascar, and now Halo 3 limited edition controllers. Thats just scratching the surface......seriously I could be here all day listing other promotional Halo 3 merchandise, commercials, and contests that are out there (which I will be entering....why not??). Needless to say my copy is already paid for, and I know I will be burning some serious time outside of work. Too bad I'll miss out on all the cool launch events, but what are you going to do. Anyway here are some pics of my cool covenant limited edition XBOX 360 wireless controller, and master chief figurine.....enjoy! September 18 Check out my pimp Guitar Hero Xplorer! So I got tired of the same old white/black 360 colors on my GHII Xplorer and decided this past weekend to change it up a little. Naturally since I love blue I decided to paint it a metallic blue. I was originally thinking of painting it a Ferrari, or fire engine red with mirror pickguard but unfortunately the whole mirror idea wouldn't have worked out to well since it' made of plastic. Could have put a sticker over it but then it'll just peel in time. The guitar was pretty easy to take apart. All I had was the shell of the body when I painted.....I took everything apart! I was a little worried that things might not fit properly after it was painted, but that never turned into an issue. I laid about 5 or 6 coats.....more on the back since I had dropped it after laying the first so naturally tried to cover up those mistakes. Once I got things under control I have to admit it turned out pretty well. after the paint was on I gave a really thick coating of clear so it would protect the finish and give it a nice glossy shine. Anyway here are a couple of pictures of it all put back together! Look me up if you want some help!
